In 1985, at the age of 5, Jen was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis and her parents were told that she probably wouldn’t live to be 18. With the advancements in medicine and a lot of luck she will be celebrating her 37th birthday this year.
Apart from living with Cystic Fibrosis, Jen had a pretty normal childhood. She grew up in Casper WY, graduated from NCHS in 1998 and from Casper College in 2001. She then moved to Denver to attend the Art Institute of Colorado and got her degree in photography.
In 2009 she married her amazing husband, Josh, and they moved to Missoula MT. After a couple of years they relocated to Bellingham WA and couldn’t be happier.
Jen spends her treatment time knitting and sells her finished pieces through her jigglyknits page and donates all profits to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. You can follow her on facebook and Instagram to see a bit of what it’s like living with Cystic Fibrosis.
